Beginning January 2018, OAS CAHPS national implementation becomes mandatory for eligible Medicare-certified hospital-based outpatient surgery departments (HOPDs) and ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs). OAS CAHPS data collected from visits between January–December 2018 will impact reimbursement in 2020. The survey results will be posted publicly and have the potential to impact your reputation in this highly competitive market. Scores will be posted at the CCN level for individual HOPDs or ASCs, although the official date has not been released yet. An early understanding of the program details can put your organization in a stronger position to succeed.

The speakers discussed key aspects of the program and insights to help you prepare, including:
  • OAS CAHPS participation requirements
  • OAS CAHPS patient eligibility guidelines
  • Preparing for 2018 mandatory implementation
  • Next steps and positioning your facility for success
